Hello Summer — and Hello to FOUR Years of Music‑Making Magic!
Summer greetings to all! We’re stepping into the sunshine with full hearts and exciting news: Senior Music Connection is celebrating FOUR years in business!Â
Since opening in May 2022, we’ve completed over 2,500 sessions, each one filled with music, smiles, and meaningful moments with seniors across our community..We couldn’t have reached this milestone without YOU—our supporters, partners, and friends who believe in the joy and healing that music brings.
This season, we’re especially excited to join our friends at Discover Classical for their annual fundraising gala. The event shines a spotlight on the talented young musicians who win their yearly contest, and eight of our team members will be there to cheer them on (and enjoy some much‑loved team time together).
As summer unfolds, we wish you sunshine in every form—warm days, bright spirits, and a heart full of light.
Team Member Spotlight
Ted Eltzroth - Interactive Music Specialist
 Ted is a retired math teacher. As the fifth of six children in a musical family, he has participated in music since childhood, at home and in his church. As an adult, he enjoys being involved in community theater and has performed in over one hundred productions. He was born here in Ohio but has lived in Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, and Kansas as well. He loves sharing music with the residents of three local senior living institutions on a monthly basisÂ
Fast Forward
We’re excited to share that our team is growing, and we’re on the lookout for more music therapists and talented musicians who love working with all kinds of people! In particular, we’re searching for specialists who have experience working with children and adults with special needs.
As we continue expanding into these amazing communities, we’re thrilled to welcome new faces to the journey. We know the perfect person is out there, ready to join our team and make a difference through music!
Looking ahead to the next school year, this role will also include opportunities to work with K–12 students at The Cooperative Learning Center, providing music therapy and creating meaningful connections through music.
And the exciting news doesn’t stop there — we’re also expanding into Cincinnati and Toledo! We’d love to connect with musicians who are interested in partnering with us as we grow into these new areas.
