Krissy O'Malley, Founder + Owner
Krissy holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Wright State University. Following an 11-year career in hospice care, she merged her music passion with her dedication to working with older adults. She furthered her studies in music therapy at Saint Mary of the Woods College and The University of Dayton.
Leveraging her education and background, Krissy strives to create a positive influence and highlight the significance of music in enhancing the lives of seniors.
Donna Hangen - Administrative and Bookkeeping Specialist
With extensive experience in office administration, Donna assists with bookkeeping and administrative duties for Senior Music Connection and is proud to support the organization's mission. She is a music graduate of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and completed therapeutic music training to become a Certified Music Practitioner (flute, alto flute, and bass flute) through the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). As a specially trained musician, Donna can provide live acoustic music at the bedside for therapeutic purposes. She performs with the Piqua Civic Band and the Universal Virtual Jazz Flute Big Band, and has recently served as a substitute with the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra.

Marie Elena Bliss – Interactive Music Specialist and
Program Manager
Marie brings decades of musical experience and leadership to Senior Music Connection, where she serves as Program Manager for IAMS after first joining the organization as an Interactive Music Specialist. She is a retired Chief Musician of the United States Navy Band, completing 24 years of distinguished service through the Navy Music Program.
Marie holds a Master of Music Education with a choral conducting emphasis, a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts with a music focus, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Music Therapy from the University of Dayton. Her background reflects a strong commitment to music education, therapeutic engagement, and lifelong learning.
In addition to her work with Senior Music Connection, Marie is active in the Dayton music community. She serves as Organist and Pianist at Abiding Christ Lutheran Church and performs as Business Manager, Musical Director, keyboardist, and vocalist with both the Sauerkraut German Band and the Fairborn Swing Masters. She is also a member of the Dayton Music Club.
Marie lives in Fairborn with her husband and continues to share her passion for music, service, and community enrichment.
Matthew Stevenson - Music Therapist
Matthew is a board-certified music therapist based in Dayton, OH. With years of experience working with individuals of all ages with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities, he has a passion for using music and the varying facets within to support their growth. Utilizing a person-centered approach, he focuses on the individual, allowing them to explore and express themselves within a facilitated musical space, encouraging building upon their strengths and working through struggles. Outside of music therapy, Matthew lives on coffee. You can find him and his spouse running Blue Sky Coffee in Fairborn, Ohio.

Ted Eltzroth - Interactive Music Specialist
Ted is a retired math teacher. As the fifth of six children in a musical family, he has participated in music since childhood, at home and in his church. As an adult, he enjoys being involved in community theater and has performed in over one hundred productions. He was born here in Ohio but has lived in Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, and Kansas as well. He loves sharing music with the residents of three local senior living institutions on a monthly basis
